Mary Anne Morrison, M.Ed, owner/manager of Laughing Dog Ranch LLC (named in honor of her beloved Rottweilers and Staffords) has been obsessed with breeding, showing and training both dogs and horses since childhood. Apples don't fall far from the tree:

Her grand-father, Chick Morrison, was an internationally respected cowboy and horseman in his day, having trained the infamous Morgan stallion, Rex, King of Wild Horses, for the early silent films in Santa Barbara.

As a child, Mary Anne progressively rode Welsh, then Welsh-Arab, then Arabians...fabulous ones! Her mentors constantly quoted famous Arab breeder Lady Wentworth, "Welsh-Arabians: The most beautiful ponies on the face of the Earth".

Oh, the eventual impact this would have on her life!

Years later, suffering "empty-nest syndrome," Mary Anne set-out to re-discover THE perfect, little, good-minded Arabian mare for kids and "returning grown-ups"...little did she know they'd become rare-as-hens'-teeth!

Sensing a "felt need", Mary Anne went on a quest, dug into behavioral genetics, and acquired 6 very special Arab mares:

Syriana VS, whom Mary Anne showed to Scottsdale Reserve Champion Hunter Pleasure and Scottsdale Top Ten Senior Mares in Main Ring Halter;

Dream a Lil Dream+++/, Mary Anne's personal Western Pleasure, Hunter Pleasure Champion, and Parade Horse;

HS Magical Miss, dam of 2x Scottsdale Champion This Magic Moment LD and Dear Sweet Romeo LD, Santa Barbara National Champion;

KO Unforgettable, a Halter, Amateur Western Pleasure and Junior Side-Saddle winner;

Aiming for Perfection, dam of National and U.S. Reserve Champion

Lil Miss Perfect LD and a lovely Showkayce+ daughter, Swan Song DDA, who just had her first foal, a half Holsteiner by the great Con Caletto.
